Hi, I’m Melanie.
Welcome to Melanie, Kids’ English Tutor.
As I mentioned on the Home page, this is a brand-new website. As such, I only have the bare essentials on it for now.
I am, however, providing one-to-one tutoring and small group classes on Zoom.
Until my site has been more fully developed, here’s a little about me.
I’m currently a middle school, English/language arts teacher at a boys and girls’ parochial school in Chicago. I teach fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.
In terms of my background, I have 12 years experience teaching children and adolescents. More specifically, I’ve been tutoring English/language arts online for ten years and have been teaching the same subject in the classroom for four.
English/language arts also happens to be one of my greatest passions in life, and I have strong foundation in all areas pertaining to English, such as grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing. I’m also, by nature, a patient, friendly, positive, and enthusiastic teacher.
In addition, I’m a published writer and have written numerous articles for several companies over the years. I’ve also written a spiritual book that is in the proofing and editing phase that I intend on publishing in the not too distant future.
Regarding my education, I have a bachelor of art’s degree in English and journalism and a master of art’s degree in psychology.
